I tried it: AmorePacific Tinted Treatment Moisturizer

Hey guys! I know my blog posts have been sporadic but I promise I haven't forgotten about my lil ol blog. Today I'm talking about a product that I received a sample for in a recent Sephora package. It's a tinted moisturizer, which is great for this time of the year because I never like having a full face of makeup during the spring and summer.

I got 4 different samples, each in the 4 colors they offer. That said, they don't have a great color range, although since it's a tinted moisturizer I'm sure you could get by using a shade lighter or darker. I used 104 for myself and it went on nicely. It has a good bit of coverage for a tinted moisturizer, and it is most definitely buildable.

Something I didn't like about this is the color wasn't completely right and gave my skin an orange tint, I would've used the color 102 but I had lost it (oops). I wore it for two entire days and noticed that my skin was starting to break out from it. I don't think this is the best option for girls with sensitive skin as it has a special treatment aspect to it that is supposed to reduce fine lines.

All this being said something that would definitely change my mind whether I would purchase it or not is the price tag. For $70 this can be yours, however you only get 1.6 oz of product. You could go with Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer for $42 and you get 1.7oz of product.

What do you think of this product? Have you ever tried it? What's your favorite makeup for summer? Tell me below!

Etsy Picks of the Week: 5/31/12

Every week (almost) I go back to my Etsy favorites list and see which handmade or vintage items stand out most to me, whether it's through craftsmanship, beauty or both I pick which ones I like the most. I bring out a minuscule portion of the talent out there, but if it's pretty I'll find it!

I can't believe it's already the end of May!! This month just escaped me! I've been slacking on Etsy but that made it easier to find a few different things that I like!

This is a strap for a DSLR or SLR camera and can I just say that I'm absolutely in love! I love the tribal print and this strap would make me want to take my camera everywhere!

This arrow hook thing is adorable! I think it's a perfect accent to a room or entryway. Whether you want to hang necklaces, scarfs, or keys on it it's sure to add some character.

I'm obsessed with vintage sunglasses lately. I love the different shapes that glasses of all the different decades. The rose color that these are featuring are perfect for spring and summer and will carry over for seasons to come.

I am loving this set of three plates! I love the flower design and how romantic they look. These would look great at a picnic with some fruit on top!

I love the look of this shirt! I love the little bow on the front and how it looks tucked into the skirt. The halter top design is something different and the color is so pretty!

Have you found a shop you love on Etsy? Should I start doing weeks with specific item themes? Tell me below!!

I tried it: Crest 3D Whitening Mouthwash

Hey guys!! So for the last couple of months I've been using Crest 3D Whitening Mouthwash, and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. I have been using the Crest 3D white toothpaste for years now and I saw the big bottle of whitening toothpaste at Target and decided to give it a try.

The best part about using this mouthwash is you can actually see results after about a week. It really does make a different especially when used with the toothpaste. Something I always noticed about the toothpaste was it didn't get the entire tooth as white as it could be. This mouthwash takes care of that problem and covers the entire tooth.

The way it works is similar to whitening strips as the ingredients are similar, it foams as it swishes around your mouth making sure to get every nook and cranny. Something you also can't resist is the price! It's only around $6 for a large bottle and it's often on sale for cheaper. I usually keep it in my mouth longer than the instructed 30 seconds.

Is there a better whitening mouthwash? What's your favorite whitening product? Tell me below!!

I tried it: Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

I recently got a gift card to Sephora, so I went on a shopping spree! One thing I absolutely adore about Sephora is the fact they always have samples and deluxe samples available. With a bit of looking around on the internet I found a code for the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream!

I've only been using this eye cream for about 5 days now, but so far I'm really liking it. I put it on before bed and only have to use a very, very little amount. I use in on my under-eye area, and it really does sink in very quickly!

This makes my under-eye area very soft and it makes my concealer go on very smoothly. It really evens out the skin around the eye and is very gentle. I have a very sensitive eye area and it seems to burn even by only looking at some products. Not this one though! It's light and creamy and makes skin look very nice, making me look more refreshed and awake.

It doesn't really help with bags however so its not a all in one product, but for what it says it does it's great! I'm really happy I received this sample as the full size is $46, so I don't know if I'll be repurchasing.. but this deluxe sample will last me a very long time!

If you too want to try this you can use this coupon code: BEAUTYMVP with any $25 purchase!

What's your favorite eye cream? Do you have an eye cream that does it all? Tell me below!!

Etsy Picks of the Week: 5/10/12

Every week I go back to my Etsy favorites list and see which handmade or vintage items stand out most to me, whether it's through craftsmanship, beauty or both I pick which ones I like the most. I bring out a minuscule portion of the talent out there, but if it's pretty I'll find it!

This week I don't know what was going on but I just couldn't find anything I liked on Etsy, it's quite the jungle and I really had to look around to find quality items that I felt like I would actually want on my blog. But all that searching paid off and I found some of the cutest stuff to date!

I saw this bangle and instantly knew it had to be on EPOTW because it's just too classic to pass up! This would bring a subtle amount of elegance to an otherwise casual outfit. I love the gold detailing and really think this should join someone's bangle collection!

I love these magnets! They're so unique and I think they would look great featured on a fridge or magnet board. I like how they have a vintage feel to them. These would be a great option instead of some boring fridge magnets!

Recently I've been looking for an iPad case and I turned to Etsy for that because they always have the best iPhone cases. I saw this one and instantly fell in love! I love how it has a book design and is very simple, but will still keep the iPad protected.

I love love love lavender! And this Swarovski necklace is such a beautiful way to wear lavender! This is a handmade necklace and I love how shiny it is, repping the Swarovski name well. This is a great everyday necklace as you can dress it up or dress it down.

I am in love with Toms, they are probably one of my favorite shoes to wear that I own. That being said, they are also a ton of other people's favorite. These Toms will make you stand out and the design is gorgeous! I definitely want to get my hands on a pair of these bad boys!

What do you think of this weeks picks? Anything I should feature? Tell me below!!

Lust-Worthy Item: Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch

Hey beauties! All I can say is I'm freeeeeeeeee! I'm officially done with finals and studying for this semester! Which is a great relief because now I can just focus on absolutely nothing! My posting will still be a bit uneven because I have to move out of my dorm room and back home and that's just a pain.

Today I have a lust-worthy item! It's a Michael Kors watch I have been seeing a ton of people wearing.

I love the rose gold on this watch, it makes it look so unique and feminine! I also like how it's a bigger watch because I think those look really flattering and can be the perfect accessory to add to an outfit!

The downside however is it's $250, and while it may be worth the splurge at some point.. (this summer maybe?) I can't get it yet! I can dream and drool over it though.

What items are you lusting after? What do you think about all the rose gold popping up? Tell me below!!

I tried it: No Slip Grip The Evolution Hair Ties

Something about me is I always like having the ability to pull my hair up and out of my face, so I always have a hair tie around my wrist ready to go. The one I was wearing recently got all stretched out and gross so I had to find a new one. Except I had already gone through an entire pack and couldn't find a stray one anywhere so I went to CVS and stared blankly at the hair ties for 10 minutes before deciding on these new ones.

These are No Slip Grip "The Evolution" Hair Ties, I got them because they didn't look like they would wear out as easily and they'd last awhile. They're made of some sort of silicon rubber material and are stretchy like a regular hair tie. They come in colored packs, neutral packs, and black and white packs. Another reason I got them is because they claim to be gentle on the hair.

These are not gentle on the hair, when I put my hair up using them I had to be careful because they would snap really hard against my scalp. Also they were overly stretchy and I they pulled way too hard on my hair when I'd use them. They were uncomfortable in my hair and left my scalp sore after wearing them. Since I like to wear them around my wrist another issue was since they don't stretch out they would cut off my circulation and leave ugly impressions in my arm.

The bottom line is I wouldn't recommend these at all because they rip out hair and tug on your scalp all day, making them highly uncomfortable.

What do you think about this type of hair tie? Would you try them out? Tell me below!

Friday's Fashion Crush: Envelope Clutches!

Hooray! It is friday at last! I can take a break from studying (and instead write two more papers!) and relax! Well at least until tomorrow! This week I decided to focus on clutches because I've been falling in love with so many different ones that I have found this week, and a trend I definitely have been loving is envelope clutches! I love how pretty yet sophisticated they look.

Although these may not be the most practical of purses, they can add the perfect amount of glamour to an outfit in need. You can get any color under the sun that you would want, so you can get one that is the main pop of color in your outfit, like the one from ASOS. Or it can be just a subtle accent to an already bright outfit, like the one from Nordstrom. I just really love the look of these and feel like they're perfect for anyone!

How do you feel about envelope clutches? Love them or Hate them? Tell me below!

Etsy Picks of the Week: 5/3/2012

Every week I go back to my Etsy favorites list and see which handmade or vintage items stand out most to me, whether it's through craftsmanship, beauty or both I pick which ones I like the most. I bring out a minuscule portion of the talent out there, but if it's pretty I'll find it!

Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry about my lack of posts this week, but between classes ending and finals starting and my birthday, it was a busy week and I was just a tad more lazy at getting the blog posts together! But yay! I'm back, oh happy day! Today I brought you a few different items from Etsy (read: as usual) this time around there's a couple of decorations as I'm really thinking about redecorating my room once I get home. My room has been exactly the same since I was about 15 and I just think it's time for a change! So here are my Etsy Picks:

These mint colored glasses are the perfect sunglasses for spring! I love the round shape and the bridge of the nose part, just so perfect for framing your face on a hot summers day! These would stand out among the sea of Ray Bans and are less than half the price!

I love the look of the jewelry box! I love the light colored wood and leaf-ish cutout on the top, this would look adorable on top of my dresser, although I don't know if I have enough jewelry to fill it up, so I'd probably end up filling it with something else.

This super-duper cute camera necklace stood out at me when I saw it and I just knew it had to be apart of EPOTW because it's soooo freaking cute! I love the little flower detail and know this will bring just the right dash of hipster to any outfit in need ;]

I love, love this color and think it's the perfect color for spring and summer! I'm loving the flower detailing and how feminine it looks wrapped around the mannequin! I think this would spice up even the simplest tank top and make it look like you put a bit more effort into an outfit.

These two yellow throw pillows are super adorable! I love how bright and fun they are and I know they'd be a great addition to my bed! I plan on getting a yellow comforter at some point this summer and definitely want these to accompany it. Another thing is most throw pillows are super expensive and you can get both of these for only $28! That's a down right steal!

It was my birthday yesterday and my boyfriend got me 4 different cakes, which was super tempting and exciting! I had a few friends come over and we all ate delicious cakes, it was pretty spectacular!

Do you like this weeks Etsy picks? Anything you think I should feature? Tell me below!!
